Signs Of Divorce – The Six Symptoms

Is a marriage breakup in your future? You’ll want to do something about it now rather than hoping that the problem will go away on its own.

Avoiding or ignoring your problems will not solve them. They’ll eventually blow up and you’ll be forced to deal with them.

While procrastination is very tempting, working on the problem now will be worth it in the long run. Love is blind so there’s a good chance that you’ll miss the tell tale signs of a troubled marriage. What you don’t know can hurt you because those signs of trouble can escalate into big problems.

What are these symptoms of a marriage in crisis? Six of these in no special order are:

1.) The joy has gone from your relationship. Whenever you out together, you just feel even more stress.

2.) There isn’t any intimacy or sex in your marriage. Don’t take this symptom lightly because it could mean the possibility of an extra marital affair.

3.) It’s a great relief when your spouse is absent. You find that your own company relaxes you more and is much preferred to the company of your spouse.

4.) You never say anything nice about the other. Instead, criticizing has become a habitual component of the relationship. You always feel as if nothing you do is right. This causes you to pull away and stop doing anything.

5.) There are a lot differences that never fail to cause stress.

For example, neatness can be a source of stress for many couples. When each person blames the other for the problem, the difficulty lingers and generates more resentment. So you may feel that your spouse is an inconsiderate slob, while she or he thinks of you as a nagging neatness freak.

Money management can also lead to chronic stress. Saving money for the future may be your concern while your partner loves the excitement of buying new cars and other toys.

6.) You avoid discussions about the future and can only deal with immediate issues.

If these signs apply to you, it’s important not to allow denial to take hold. Act on it now. You owe it to yourself, your partner, and your children.

How to Save Your Marriage – The Solution Is Out There!

Perhaps you have been wondering “how exactly can I save my marriage”, perhaps you feel isolated and alone. Maybe you find yourself trying harder than your significant other to improve the marriage.

It is very important that you realize that you are not alone with this problem. The sad fact is that there are more than 2 million marriages ending each year.

You probably have a lot of questions. You are probably wondering why this sad fact should make you feel less alone.

There is however reason this should give you hope. With such a great number of marriages facing trouble in our modern world, there is now a well trained network of people available to offer exactly what you need, help.

The most popular form of help is that of marriage counseling, many people will look to this first when attempting to save their marriage. Marriage counseling can be of significant benefit to any ailing marriage, helping to uncover and remedy any problems you may have.

However, in some cases your relationship might actually suffer from entering into marriage counseling. That’s because both parties often enter into their counseling sessions with the thought of getting the counselor on their “side” – that way they have some kind of advantage in whatever arguments they’re having. This really isn’t helpful, and can only cause further irritation to both parties.

Sometimes counseling doesn’t work because one of the parties won’t participate in the meetings. Sometimes it can be very hard to get the other partner to agree to counseling, especially if you are the only partner trying to save your marriage.

Marriage counseling may not be a possibility for you because of the cost. Most people don’t have any extra money to spend on marriage counseling.

There is some good news though; there are new methods of resolving marital issues that could prove beneficial for you. Now, professionals are starting to bundle their counseling sessions into at-home courses that are inexpensive and can help you and your spouse resolve a wide array of marital issues, big and small, from the comfort of home.

One of the benefits of these home courses is that your partner doesn’t even have to agree to it or participate. Your partner doesn’t even need to know that you are working alone on saving your marriage by using a specially designed home course. You can actually regain some personal power and get excited about saving your marriage. That nagging question of “how to save my marriage” can be answered once and for all. The great part is that you can do it all by yourself!

You Can Save Your Marriage

Marriages that are fulfilling for couples seem to be rare these days. Many seem to be nothing more than constant battlegrounds. Divorce is often seen as the solution to the problem even if it’s not what the couple really wants. If you are pondering the question “can I save my marriage?” then there is probably hope for the marriage. Continue reading for some ideas that may help you.

Marriage is a partnership and both partners have to be sure they don’t want to dissolve it. Often the couple is unable to resolve the issues on their own and need the services a marriage counselor can provide. Being with a third party allows each one to tell his/her side in a non-threatening situation. Marriage counseling works best if both partners attend, but only one going is a good start. Hopefully, the other one will also go.

As well as seeking the help of a marriage counselor a lot of other things can help save a marriage. The main requirement is for both partners want the marriage to continue. There is nothing difficult in the ideas offered below, but following them can help you save your marriage

As good as it seems in romantic movies and novels, there is no such thing as total clear sailing in a marriage. There will be strong winds that will make high waves in every marital relationship. Just be ready for them and be willing to ride out the storm. Remember your vows to each other at the altar and be willing to forgive and forget each other’s mistakes.

Good communication is vital in any relationship, including marriage. Honesty in a marriage is a must. There can be no game playing. You can solve almost any problem if you keep the lines of communication open and maintain trust.

Yield to the desires or needs of your spouse. Having the ability to compromise will let the couple settle problems that at first may seem impossible to resolve. When each person knows that the other is willing to work towards a satisfactory solution for both, the hope for saving the marriage becomes more of a possibility.

Be committed to your spouse. If your car breaks down, you don’t leave it on the side of the road. You stay with it until help arrives. You get rid of the car only when there is no hope in its being of further service to you. Saving your marriage requires commitment much like what is required to save your car. A simple analogy, but you get the point.

Save The Marriage – How To Save My Relationship

The relationship we build with our significant other is something that we wish to last. Others are successful in making romantic relationships last. There are some, however, who remain merely wishing to have a relationship that can last for a lifetime. There will always come a time that challenges will pop up in romantic relationships. What is important is you will be able to get through these. There was a time when I believed my relationship with my significant other was in trouble, and that was when I looked for ways on how to save my relationship. At first there were no answers but I eventually found the way to solutions.

It was difficult for me to accept that our relationship was dying. I did almost everything that I knew was right to save our relationship. However, instead of knowing how to save my relationship, I ended up causing more harm to it.

I was far down the road when I realized that the first thing I needed to do was to accept things as they are. Different circumstances can arise and it is I who will need to make the first steps towards adjustments if I wanted to save our relationship. I realized that instead of asking my partner to become better, I needed to make myself better first.

Another important lesson that I have learned is to not let pride and anger get in my way. If I kept on holding on to my pride and anger, I would not be able to see and accept the true value of our relationship, as well as the true value of my partner to my life.

In my quest for ways on how to save my relationship, I asked help from other people and they all told me the same thing: communicate with each other. And indeed, we simply just needed to give more time to conservations.

Save The Marriage – Marriage Problem Advice

Looking for ways to strengthen your marriage? Then you might have probably searched for marriage problem advice from someone that you really trust. The question is, did the advice work? Different married couples face different kinds of marital problems but there are essentially three things that help strengthen marriage.

One of the things that strengthen marital ties is keeping a lid on your anger. This is also a very common marriage problem advice because it simply helps. A marriage can break down if there is too much stress and strain between the couple. To keep matters from getting worse, better get hold of your emotions and lessen your anger.

You will also need to keep your promises. Once you have made a promise, stick to your word. If you tend not to keep your side of the bargain, you will often find yourselves fighting over little that were left undone. Even the smallest of arguments can be annoying especially when they happen rather frequently.

It also helps to learn to say that you are sorry. Pointing fingers at each other will not help. If you believe you have exhibited some form of destructive behavior, then you better apologize. It can be difficult to change for the better almost instantly but with your partner’s help, you surely can.

Perhaps the best marriage problem advice that anyone can give is to keep the relationship interesting. This advice never fails to work. Do not allow yourselves to slowly slip away from each other. Always try to spend more time with your partner than with your friends. You may need to attend to some personal needs for leisure every now and then but that does not mean you will always be out with your friends. Spending more time with your partner and coming up with surprises can help much in keeping the passion alive.

Is There Any Way To Save My Marriage?

Love is wonderful, and our commitment to love is expressed through marriage. We celebrate and profess vows. We make promises to one another to stay by each others side in good times and bad, in sickness and in health. These beautiful vows are made with perfect intentions. No matter what comes our way, we will be together ’til death do us part’. Reality may not be what we hoped for; you may end up asking ‘what can I do to save my marriage’?

Having a great marriage is not taught in school, so you may not yet be equipped with the skills you need to have the marriage you want. But even in bad situations, such as adultery, it is possible to turn the situation around and save your marriage. Remain hopeful because you are not alone. At this point you need to understand clearly what you should do, and also what you should not do in the reconciliation process. You have a desire to save, even transform, your marriage which is what led you to this article in the first place.

Your marriage is somewhere in the relationship life cycle, which has six stages:

1. Romance and infatuation

2. After the honeymoon

3. Staking your territories

4. Evaluation

5. Reconnection

6. Commitment

You are most likely in the fourth stage and trying to figure out why you decided to marry this other person in the first place. You might be thinking that your life would happier with someone else. Coming to the realization that your dream of a happy marriage is not coming true is very difficult. The love and romance you enjoyed has vanished and the honeymoon stage is a memory. This is absolutely normal, but emotionally challenging. Feelings of closeness, especially sexual intimacy, can decline or disappear completely. At this point, it is common to consider having an affair. If you have this temptation, do not give in. Honor the vows you took and acquire the skills and techniques to reconnect with your partner. This stage is painful and trying. Of course, it also has the greatest reward. To achieve this reward, equip yourself the skills needed to avoid ending up as a marriage statistic.

Typical difficulties are: what if my spouse does not want to save the marriage, can I get past the hurt, what can we do build trust in each other again. Caution is recommended here. If you are the one who needs forgiveness, begging for forgiveness or promising to change may get a response opposite to what you want. Picture yourself in their shoes. What if you are the one who needs to forgive? Can you forgive them? Under what conditions? These are not easy questions and you need to clarify your feelings and have a plan to work through this stage. Seeking a quick fix at this point instead of addressing core issues is the biggest mistake most couples make. Most marriage problems develop over time and it takes time to solve them. By equipping yourself properly, you will make it to the reconnection stage, and you will not be wondering ‘is there any way to save my marriage’.

Is There Any Way To Save My Marriage?

Marriage is the the natural consequence of love. Celebrating with friends and family, we profess vows of faithfulness in sickness and in health, in good times and bad. On that day, fulfilling those vows seems easy. Nothing will prevent us from fulfilling them. Come what may, we will make it through ’til death do us part’. But then the realities of married life take shape, and it is not what you envisioned. You could be asking yourself ‘is there a way to save my marriage’?

A marriage can be saved, even completely transformed from a sad, or even depressing, situation to a life long love affair with your spouse. Even in the most difficult situations, such as adultery, marriages can be saved. Trust in hope, and know that you are not alone. Saving your marriage requires that you clearly understand what you should and should not do in the reconciliation process. Your desire to change your marriage for the better led you to this article in the first place.

First, here are the phases the relationship lifecycle. There are six stages:

1. Romance and infatuation

2. After the honeymoon

3. Staking your territories

4. Evaluation

5. Reconnection

6. Commitment

You are likely in stage 4 right now, and wanting to get to stage 5. But you may be also be wondering why you married your spouse in the first place. Perhaps marriage would be better with a different spouse. It is a difficult time realizing the dream, your vision of marriage, is not what you now have. The romance and infatuation stage is long gone and so are the blissful feelings of the honeymoon stage. While this is emotionally very hard, it is also perfectly normal. Closeness and intimacy, and sexual relations, change for the worse and this is the point where one of you may consider an affair. Avoid this no matter how difficult it seems at the moment. Remember you took vows, and now you must develop the skills to reconnect with your partner and change your marriage. Working through this will be painful and difficult, but keep the goal in mind. Make sure you equip yourself with the right tools to make the process more effective. By doing this you can get the result you want and avoid becoming a marriage statistic.

Questions commonly asked at this point include: what should I do if my partner does not want to make an effort to save the marriage, is there a way I can get past the hurt, will we be able to trust each other again. At this point, you need to be cautious and deliberate. Begging for forgiveness or making promises to change may not get a warm reception. Try on the old clich of walking a mile in their shoes. On the other hand, can you forgive your spouse? It might not be easy. These are serious issues and going for a quick fix is not the answer to transforming your marriage. If fact, it will only lead to more hurt. Most marital difficulties develop with time so they take time to fix. Make the effort to have the skills you need to get to stage 5, reconnection. In the end, you will be glad you did and you will know the answer to the question ‘is there a way to save my marriage’ is a resounding, ‘yes’.

How Can I Save My Marriage?

Marriage is a commitment to a person that you love. Marriage is not meant to be a battlefield, although sometimes it may seem like World War III. It’s easy to want to end a relationship with the person if things are just not working out, but separation and divorce are not always the answer. Before taking any drastic step I tried to find ways to save my marriage.

Problems And Solutions

Because I wanted to save my marriage I first had to recognize that we were having problems. If either one of us said that there was no problem, then the fact that we were denying the problem was a problem all its own. What we will need to do is agree that we are having problems and that we needed to seek help.

If there are cycles of hurt and denial going on in our relationship, then there may be a moment when we realize that we will need a third party in order to resolved some of the conflict and tension that have been building up in order to save my marriage. Some rules to follow when trying to save my marriage included not bringing up old conflicts or hurts, and I also didn’t expect my spouse to be able to read my mind. I tried to avoid using harsh, negative words when talking about my feelings or the situation. In this way I hoped to begin to open positive lines of communication in order to better solve our problems.

Once we had solved the problem of communication, we had to get down to what the real problems of the marriage were and why they were affecting the way we communicate. We learned to always make sure to address important issues instead of ignoring them or walking away from the discussion. This kept the dialogue open.

Sometimes, even when people repair the communication issues, there are still too many other issues there that people cannot deal with alone. Seeking out a marriage counselor or other form of therapy can help the situation by bringing in a fresh perspective. Finding a professional to help save my marriage was the best thing I ever did. A counselor was able to see past the faces and the problems and get down to the real reason for the arguing about something as simple as whose turn it is to clean or how the bills are getting paid. A third party was a better judge of how we handled and repaired our relationship. This was the key to saving my marriage.
