I’m 42 and divorced. My ex left me after a 22 yr marriage. She found someone with a bigger bank account. I’ve been on my own now for several years and have found that dating is bit different then when I was last an active dater (that would be the early 80’s). It’s tough when all the women I know are close to my son’s age (22). It’s almost funny when women tell me that age doesn’t matter but then freak out if I would ask them to dinner. Another thing that I have found is that women my age are still wanting children. I have nothing against children, I’ve got two myself, but I was a lot younger then. Anyway, any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Basically I’m from a culture where arranged marriage (NOT forced marriage) is acceptable, I was born and raised in the US but my morals/values don’t necessarily fall into line with the standard accepted view of things here. I’ve only had one girlfriend, and I didn’t agree with her habits of flirting, staying out late with guys etc, so my parents said they would arrange something, basically I met the girl and she is ridiculously pretty and seems to be really sweet from what I can gather (only have met 2 times so far…lol) but I’m not exactly familiar with certain aspects of what is to come. My main concern is the wedding night, I wouldn’t want to do anything to make her uncomfortable, and I don’t know what she would be expecting? Growing up here I would assume she wouldn’t be too comfortable with sex since we don’t really know each other much, but frankly I’m clueless at this point, any advice from somebody who knows what they are talking about would be much appreciated, thnx
